Dhananjoy Das

Dhananjoy Das, a Bangalore-based artist, specializes in mixed media art, drawing inspiration from his West Bengal roots. He holds a BVA from the Government College of Art & Craft in Kolkata and studied Industrial Design at the National Institute of Design in Ahmedabad.

Recognized both nationally and internationally, his work explores the intersection of nature, socio-political, and socio-economic issues shaping rural-urban life. Characterized by textured surfaces, irregular shapes, and expressive brushstrokes, Dhananjoy's art utilizes a mix of secondary colors, water-based mediums, and tempera techniques to reflect human life, labor, values, and beliefs. His pieces invite viewers on a contemplative exploration of the human experience.
